ring up your local Examiner of Masters and Mates in the Canadian Coast guard
and ask him. Most examination rooms used to have an instrument(I forget the
name) on which can be replicated the magnetism of a steel ship.  There is a
pelorus mounted on it and you can compensate for most of the co-efficients. You
