JOE, Thank you for the information.I developed my FPT in 1958 aboard yhe USS Outpost AGR10. AGR's had the record for a underway time at sea. My life was using the the sextant for celestial navigation, all we had was Loran A. We were a radar screen to report any incoming target not scheduled, missle or plane. We stayed at sea for months at a time, up and down the coast,in every weather. We were used as a weather ship also. I wrote a short about the AGR "Vertical Sextant."
