Dave Walden, you sent a link for military slide rules. Many thanks. I can’t see any instructions there for the R-1, only the CPU-48 P. The CPU-48 P looks very interesting nevertheless, and headache making if you don’t have the item in your hands. Also there is some interesting British stuff from WW1 & 2. I’m still puzzling over the slant and plan range scales on the R-1, if that’s what they are. I thought I had it, except the plan ranges should be shorter than the slant ranges, whereas on the R-1 the opposite appears true, so I’m still working on it. DaveP
