The port of openoffice to Mac is called NeoOffice and can be downloaded for free at: http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php As how to help George with the documentation issue there is "in program" help instead of "online help." Open a new spreadsheet and under the "help" pull down menu select the first item on the menu "openoffice.org help" or press F1. This help documentation is not as extensive as a book, but I find it more than adequate. Plus since it's "in program" you don't have to go online to get help, say if you still use a dailup connection. Hope this helps someone.
