For various lame reasons, I was only able to accomplish the following
Understand my Mark 3 plastic sextant
Experience the thrill of bringing the Sun to the horizon.
With the help of my iphone apps, was able to
Determine that the Sun was in the correct position in the sky
Or the ship was indeed where it was.
Eliminated a myriad of positions that the ship was not at.
Seriously, What a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to continue my studies
