A friend, knowing of my interest in celestial navigation, gave me a deck of plasticised start charts. He did not know what they were used for and neither do I. They look like they are inserted into some kind of device. They have slight longitudinal mar marks that suggest they are plug into something. They are printed on both sides. Ciphers along the left margin look like units of time.
Does anyone recognize these cards? There are 7 in the set, printed both sides with star asterisms and names, far more than the navigational set.
