    Beste Peter, dear all,

I have been having a lot of fun this week playing around with graphically reducing a sight, based on the all-haversine formula developed here in the past year. (a no-tables sollution)

When working out the sight in GeoGebra, the result is as precise as the input (within 0.01°). But when doing it all on paper, starting from scratch, with a protractor, a ruler, compasses (callipers) and a pencil, I am coming down to within 2° for Hc :-/

I am now looking into making a work sheet, which means a protrator wouldn't be ne necessary and hopefully narrow down the precision somewhat.

And because ZD equals the great circle D (angle), it renders a nice graphical means of determining great circle distances too.

Please take a look and drop comments: http://tube.geogebra.org/material/show/id/1531651

    Vriendelijke groet, Yours,

    Jaap
