Tony, I assume you need an altitude/azimuth grid for your latitude in azimuthal equidistant projection. In my own planisphere project I found that it is easiest to split each line of altitude in 1000 or so parts, calculate plane coordinates of each point using magic formula* and connect the dots of the result wit short straight lines. *I took formulas for the altitude/azimuth grid projection from wikipedia page, but I am sure there are more reputable sources
