Hello!
Still working on the old-time SNO-T restoration. One of the horizon shades has a crackle on it. I noticed that the shade holder has ~39mm diameter where an M39x1 size polarising filter (photo accessory) may be fitted. The optical density is very close in the original glass and in the filter.
Would you recomment doing such an upgrade? If not - why?
I noticed that the contrast of the Moon improves if watched through a polarising filter properly rotated. Hope to improve the lunar distance measurement accuracy.
Thank you in advance for suggestions and comments.
Regards,
Tony
