Well, that is a lot cheaper than a Freiberger artificial horizon, which is also a 'dark glass' AH. I have found it seems quite adaquate for solar and stellar observations. It is somewhat fiddly to set up though, particularly if what it is sitting on is not literaly 'rock solid'.
