The Davis Mk 15 box has enough extra volume to pack a surprising amount of extra CN gear. The attached images shows the following contents :
1. Mk 15 with x3 scope/sight tube.
2. Two Casio digital watches.
3. Casio solar trig calculator.
4. Pub 249 long term Sun almanac page.
5. Ageton Classic 6 page table.
6. Haversine 1 page table.
7. Notebook/0.7mm pencil.
8. Pocket Douglas Plotter.
9. Pocket K&E Doric plastic slide rule.
10.Hand compass.
11.Ultrak stopwatch.
12.LED Maglight.
13.Bris sextan.
14.Polaris Card.
This rig will fit into my carry on duffle with plenty of room to spare . I would prefer a metal sextant but in a travel situation plastic may be the only practical choice.
In this kit there are 6 different ways to perform Sun sight reduction using the DR position as the assumed position.
