Today Jupiter was in the neighborhood of the Moon and can be seen clearly with a good pair of 7x50mm binoculars throughout the day. Observing Jupiter through a 7x35mm scope on a Tamaya sextant proved to be more challenging and an observation wasn't made until about an hour before sunset. Now that I'm over fifty my eyes seem to have collected quite a few floaters which make observing faint bodies against a light blue sky very difficult. With enough persistence and patience though these difficult observations are possible. -- NavList message boards: www.fer3.com/arc Or post by email to: NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList+@fer3.com
