Thanks for the heads up. I am still trying to reliably see venus in daylight so I will go outside tomorow at 9 08 LMT. I know where north is from noon sights. I have a reference on a hill. The hard part is judging the high altitude.
But...........for the past week or two we have had clear blue skies with an uncomfortably hot sun - 22 deg C is hot for Wellington. You have probably guessed it. Today it is very pleasant outside because of the 8/8th cloud cover!
Looking at an almanac app I note that about 9 08 LMT tomorrow Venus, Mars, Saturn, Mercury, Jupiter and the Sun are nearly in a straight line (on a polar chart) in the north eastern sky. Venus altitude = 64deg.
