Thank you for your message. I think I understand what you're saying. I've triaed that angle from the Sun method, and that is NOT EASY. It's much easier doing what I described at least when I'm in my backyard. You said it's just like lunad distance sights. But look, I'm interessted in practical navigation, and I read through some of the messages you all wrote in the past ten days, and I can see very clear ...those aren't practical people. Those lunar distances are impractical math talk. Maybe like you said it's a good devotion for a scientist like yourself but not me. You all go one about seconds of arc and tiny angles, and I wonder what in heck this has to do with navigation! I just want to catch some daytime sites of Venus when I'm sailing in June.
