The image of the Sun in the previous post was taken with my Canon Rebel SLR digital 10 MP using a calibrated 50mm prime lens with no filters. Measuring from the Sun center to the horizon resulted in 1024 pixels at .37694 MOA/px which gives 6° 26.0' or a Lower Limb Sun at 6° 10.0'. The time of the image is logged at UT 00:21:02 at an assumed position of 34° 09.5'N ; 119° 13.5'W from an H.E. of 18 ft.
The azimuth worked out to 237.1° and intercept 1.7 away
