    Hi Bob,

    This is very interesting, but I think you may have to worry about "hot pixels". Did you take multiple photos at about the same time of Aldebaran and the Moon? Does that apparent star maintain the same position relative to the Moon? I'm concerned because the star does not appear to be in the right place relative to the horns of the Moon. What do you think? It may well turn out that the Sirius image is real even if the apparent Aldebaran is a hot pixel.

    By the way, we had rain for most of the day yesterday, so not a chance.
