No, that is not what happens with the intercept method. You do not "move" the GP when you advance the LOP. That is the mistake that has tripped up several proponents of new mathematical methods before.
In the intercept method, the circle of position is expanded or contracted in concert with the movement of the observer, but the GP remains fixed.
