    What about movIng the GP of the first body sighted in the direction of course T by distance traveled by the ship? My intuition tells me that is the equivalent of when you move a line of position in a flat plane like with the intercept method, but I have no idea how to mathematically confirm that. Assuming that's correct, I think you can advance the GP by solving for the North Pole-old GP-new GP triangle.
