Andrés,
You said "the problem of the intersection of two CoPs was solve by Gauss, before Dowes, Bodenez, or Gery".
I would like to remind that between Gauss (1812) and Bodenez (1976), Antoine Yvon-Villarceau introduced the first multi-COP linear equations in 1877. But he "did not recommend a practical use of these equations, because of the computing length that they implied" (by hand).
In addition, before Gery, J. Paoli proposed a full trigonometric solution for the intercsection of n COP in 1995.
