The MHR-1 was a German adaption of the British designed Bygrave slide rule so also search under "Bygrave."

Hi Dennis
Please consider first the FLAT BYGRAVE as the most accessible. Poking around here with those search phrases will lead to images you print out and use immediately. I'm sure Gary will pop in with some helpful advice
There are also plans available for a cylindrical bygrave. This is more challenging to build but has an authentic feel.
To buy one, the most likely location is eBay. They come up from time to time. As they appeal to navigation enthusiasts and slide rule collectors, expect stiff competition
