Hi Greg,
What is the dim star nearly straight above and seen to the left of Vega and the roller furling in the cropped attached image? Declination should be around 33* 25' N
I believe it is HIP 91235; the catalog location is +33d 28', 18h 37m (J2000).
Is that a dim star seen very close by Vega ?
I think this might be a ghost image of Vega, maybe from the start or end of the exposure as the camera was jiggled a tiny bit (by the mirror movement, maybe, if it's an SLR). The other stars are too dim to show it.
Attached is a contrast-stretched version of the original image, for those who don't have quick access to an image editor. About 100 stars are visible.
Cheers,
Peter
