Geometric dip is arccos(64/65) ~ 10 deg, and the distance to the horizon
is ~ 2500 km. The general formula for the dip
is arcsin((R/R+h)), where R is the radius of the Earth, and h is the height.
The general formula for the distance is sqrt(2Rh) when h is small in comparison with R.

This does not take account of refraction.

    A.

What's the dip from 100km altitude? And what's the distance to the horizon?
