    I wasn't planning on any open cockpit captures but you never know ;-)  There is double glazed Lexan to deal with on the typical jet liner port. No problems were noticed while using a bubble octant through double glazing. Another planned camera observation through the jet liner port will be a capture of a low Sun over a body of water with the reflected image in the field of view or perhaps two quick captures low and high spliced together.
