E6B's are still sold and still in use. I prefer them to electronic calculators. You can buy them for $10-30 at any pilot shop and they come with directions. Don't buy the plastic ones if you actually plan to fly with them -- it's only a matter of time before you leave them on a dashboard and they melt. The reality is that with modern electronic navigation, pilots almost never do drift calculations except when taking tests. Can't remember the last time I did one.
