I'm prepping for tonight's "Modern Celestial" session. Here's a simulation of a pair of Sun sights. In this scenario I passed the Island of San Felix off South America the previous day, got a noon sight, and then an afternoon sight. See my fix?
But notice the background. What constellations do you see? Which of the official navigation stars are visible in this simulation?
