Good afternoon. I looking for some insight from someone who has some familiarity with Frank Reeds method for Easy Lunars. I’ve have followed this just about to the end. But one if the final equations I’m struggling with. The explanation is quite clear but I must have missed a correction
Corr LD = Obs LD+dh Moon*A+ dh Sun*B+Q
For the dh Moon, you go to Alt correction Table 35 -90 d, since Moon’s altitude is 46d 39.5’, the dh should be approx 48.9d. Adding the average of U and L Corr from the lower portion of the correction table, I get approx a dh Moon of 51.3’. The derivation shows a value of 36.5’. So I’m convinced I might have missed something somewhere
if anyone out there use this procedure, I would greatly appreciate it if they could go back to Frank’s method and let me know where I jumped the fence. Thanks
