Ah, that makes sense. I have a Link A-12, and always struggled with the bubble size. It changes depending on temperature, and since the production units didn’t have any means for adjustment, you only have the option to getting out a syringe and adding/subtracting fluid - which would be a royal pain to do aloft. Come to think of it, maybe that’s why the A-12 came with 2 chambers – so you could have 2 bubble sizes available.
Maybe a better design solution would have been to use an inverted chamber with an appropriately sized ball bearing on the bottom, rather than a bubble on top.
