You mentioned an "empirical uncertainty ellipse" and that there's no ellipse for two lines of position. Is that a special case for the algorithm you are (or your app is) using?? Surely I can talk about an error ellipse with just two sights, right? But the sights do not tell us what uncertainty to us in that case. We have to tell it "+/- 1' " somewhere. I don't know enough about this. Anyone else have more detail on the error ellipse for a fix???
