Many here know that Stark's book leaves a strong desire for explanation. It is impossible to verify or improve something that is not understood. For that reason, I derived Stark's equation from spherical geometry, reverse engineered all of the tables in the book, and recreated them from formula. Attached is a PDF with explanation, and Excel worksheet with recreated tables. Eventually I will create a fully formatted document of the recreated tables similar to what thenauticalalmanac.com has done for the Almanac. Please send me your comments, corrections, and improvements. I will keep the document up to date with community knowledge.
