    Brooks,

You said, "I'm still encountering differences from other published almanacs and celestial websites of up to one arc-second."  One arc-SECOND?  I don't see where you display any arc value to better than 0.1 arc-minute resolution, which I would think is just fine for celestial navigation and probably good enough for amateur astronomy.  What am I missing?

    Stan

Subject: [NavList] Excel Workbooks for Sun, Moon, Stars, etc.

I built two workbooks for celesital navigation and amateur astronomy.  In both workbooks, celestial coordinates and topological coordinates (aziumuth and Hs) are automatically calculated in tables for the Sun, Moon, planets, navigational stars, and other celestial objects, based on the observer's time, location, etc.
One workbook (Almanac Meeus.xls) uses Meeus' abbreviated model, and the other uses the full VSOP and Chapront models for the Sun, Moon, and planets (Almanac VSOP Chapront.xls).  Otherwise, the workbooks are essentially the same.
I'm still encountering differences from other published almanacs and celestial websites of up to one arc-second.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in looking at my workbooks.  Maybe someone can explain why my estimates are still a little off from other sources.  These other sources frequently disagree with each other, so the problem may not be me.
