The reason you couldn't find anything to click, Ken, is because you're already a member of the FB group. I think you joined three years ago. There was relatively little activity until recently. When I first proposed an FB group, there was a bit of scoffing from NavList members, and believe it or not, one NL member even "resigned" and sent me an angry email complaining that I had even suggested Facebook as a useful venue. But time passes... attitudes change... and the single biggest factor is numbers. Slowly but surely in the past year the number of people signed up to the FB group has climbed. There are certainly many "phantom members", who have signed up but ignore it, just as there are on NavList, but we're finally at a point where there's enough activity to keep things going. By the way, at least ten NavList members have joined the FB group in the past 24 hours. About a third of the members of the FB group are also NavList members.
Again, to repeat, to reiterate, to emphasize: I see these activities as complementary, not competitive.
