Yes...In fact you can use your 2102D to preplan sights on any star. You can then get several sights on a given star before you can see it unaided. This can extend your sight taking time by 5 minutes or more during civil twilight. I have used this method to find many stars before they can be seen with the naked eye. It's very satisfying when it works out just the way you planned it!
