What a lesson. I recall this photo from about 50 years ago which shows that Chichester was making headway to windward in heavy seas with just a storm jib ( doubt if he was under power). At that time I had learned just enough about sailing to buy a C&C 40 Crusader. The lesson was that I, too, needed a storm jib, the cheapest and yet one of the most important sails in any sailors inventory. Thanks, Jackson, for the trip down memory lane. Sam Lyness
