Antoine,
Excellent detective work. Yes, this is a typo. LD apparent should be 95deg 53.8' Aldebaran-Moon (far).
And yes, my exact location was Lat 28deg 41.1'N Lon 082deg 18.3' W
In terms of clearing, I'm using Frank's algorithm given in his Lunars workshop to which I have added DeltaZ if the Cosine of the angle between the body's vertical circles is beween 1 and -1, otherwise I just display the cosine value.
I'm quite adicted to these lunars. The weather here has been ideal for Aldebaran-Moon shots and even in the day, Sun-Moon shots. By now, I have about 30 shots over the past four days, enough on single days to see effects of averaging, sight improvement with practice etc.
You mention 'your own software', what Lunars program are you using? Is this something you wrote, perhaps based on some 19th century practice?
Regards and appreciation for finding the typo, somehow that '5' slipped out.
Ed
