    Great - my readings tend to be well within a 15min timeframe so fit to slope can be another tool to use. I use your lunar apps regularly as well as USNO clone, thanks for these they are useful to check my work as is the GPS anti spoof app. I use a 1976 Henry Browne 'Sestral' sextant which is much better than my home made octant but taking lunars is a challenge. But I am improving! I have practiced both sun-moon and moon - star/planet when the weather allows. I find using lunar measurements really interesting and something I can do in the back garden if I cheat abit on the altitude measurements! I have just posted another question regarding George Bennett's paper on Lunar Altitudes Revisited. 

    Your workshops sound fantastic - maybe one day when I have finished fixing up the house!
