I do not understand these results.
They are in error in some way.
The Law of Cosines is analytically exact and if evaluated with the precision of any electronic calculator will give a correct result. All altitude intercept solutions using table lookup were compromises involving table complexity and ease of use that solved the same problem (LOC) perhaps with recast equations to reflect symmetries which helped simplify the tables.
No one would have accepted a table that gave LOPs with position errors of 10 nm.
