Good question about the shampoo – I’m guessing 10:1? 20:1? I’d try more dilute first, and you can always add a few drops more of shampoo if you need it. And
you only use a drop or two of the final product. The idea is to create a very thin dry layer of the stuff on the mirror so that if water droplets condense, they do so in a transparent film rather than big drops. The commercially available anti-foggers work
pretty much the same way.
They both lack the panache of spitting into your facemask though…

I was surprised those mirrors fogged - the sextant was on the shore with me almost since the morning, I did expect it to be quite acclimated already...
The mirrors were recently washed with
Prozone (by "Multicore" vendor of liquids for cleaning printed circuit boards).
May be indeed it was because of my breathing - I did not pay any attention for that.
How much dilute a shampoo must be? As I guess - I must apply that liquid well before the session?
