If someone might want to look at the orginal almanac data for this or other specific times, we might be able to help. Thanks to a donation from Bruce Stark, we have in our Stark Library (www.starpath.com/library) original copies of (I believe) all US nautical almanacs. Attached here is the May 1815 pages (33 MB) for comparison with the ongoing discussion.
