Thanks for that suggestion Bill. I will examine the lens and see if I can see a seam that will allow me to seperate the two parts. I am not familiar with "araldite" I will try and find some suitable clear expoxy glue. I will first see if I can order the lens as a spare part, then attempt repair. While annoying it would be possible to live with this distortion. The general clarity of the telescope is poor in my view when examined in bright daylight.
