I notice that nowhere does the description use the word "hemisphere". Instead it refers to "side of the Earth". Using string and my trusty Cram's World Globe, it appears this view subtends only a little over 100 degrees. Again with string and eyeball, it appears to be a view from 1800ish miles above the surface. A very finite distance. The view is also odd in that it puts Baha near 12:00 and NZ near 6:00 with no mention of orientation (nowhere near North-South).
Most strikingly... I thought there was a big Analemma in the Pacific?
