INMARSAT receving frequency is 1.525 to 1.559 Ghz. The doppler shift for the middle of this range, 1.535 Ghz, is about 2.6 hz per knot of relative velocity. The graph of the measured shifts indicate a relative velocity of between 50 and 100 knots. However, included in this total doppler shift is the shift due to the relative velocity between the satellite and the ground station.
