Just ran a two person time check of my Casio G Shock watch against NIST Time on my computer. No discernible difference between watch time, and NIST time observed, which is not to say that there wasn't some difference, though if there was a difference, neither of us could discern it.
As for the watch receiving time signals from Fort Collins, Colorado,I'm in Pittsburgh, PA. At night,I drape the watch over a coffee cup, placed in a west facing, ground floor window. That seems to suffice re the thing receiving time correction signals over the air (AM radio broadcast) I believe.
My navigational errors are, it seems, not due to incorrect watch time.
