The GGR 2018 classic retro race offers a great track for an around the world CN exercise project. The attached working notes shows key way point estimated day of arrival if 110 nautical mile days are averaged, morning 1000 zone time sunline Hc, time of LAN, and time of civil twilights . I would hope the leaders average at least this speed otherwise running out of water and food could play a part in withdrawing from the race or having to switching to the Chichester class.
Sunline Hc calculation examples were done using classic log secant log cosecant trig. Azimuth calculations were done by K&E 4080-3 slide rule. Results checked by smart phone.
