Y2K Errors: I was listening to the Clark Howard show on KFI Los Angeles the other afternoon. I learned a couple of things. If you have direct deposit for your paycheck, you are also giving them permission to withdraw money as well. Over the summer I was overpayed by $4,000. I gave the money back in September. If I had had direct deposit they could have just "reached out" and removed their mistake from my account, perhaps deciding that I owed them $5,000 and take that out. Another thing, banks give you something like 30 or 60 days to correct any errors, but they can correct their errors at anytime without notice. Maybe causing your checks to all bounce and then charging you bounced check fees. What's this got to do with navigation? Navigating through life I guess. -- Gordon ,,, (. .) +-----------------------ooO-(_)-Ooo----------------------+ | Gordon Talge WB6YKK e-mail: gtalge@pe.net | | QTH: Loma Linda, CA Lat.
