Not that Delta's current computer woes have anything to do with jamming GPS we nevertheless need to see the whole picture I have been writing about.  All systems leak which means eventually and not maintained all things will most assuredly give way and fall prey to entropy.  Even a old sextant not treated as the delicate instrument it is will also go that way toward the proverbial scrap heap.  It needn't be.  If the govt cared about its nav aides or protecting GPS satellites the way most of us care for our sextants there might not be a problem.  Thing is Delta will blame an outdated program caused what is now a 72 hour plus fiasco.  We can place blame wherever we want, but human error and mistakes are rarely pinned.  Why?  Are we humans too sensitive to admit mistakes are often made?  Why are we loathe to admit a foible the like of this nature when that is exactly what it is a human foible?  Let's admit that GPS isn't perfect neither is a sextant it approximates a LOP not giving that pinpoint exactness some want and expect from GPS.
I just like traditional cn because it is something to do and if need by to check radar, LORAN or Stella.
