    Meanwhile, it doesn't matter how good your GPS, pilot, or charts are if the underlying data is just plain wrong:

    ...the copyright on the second edition that I have before me is 2012.  But assuming you are right that the charts that can be had today are all sync'ed with WGS 84, what are the various hypotheses we should entertain for why the entire BVI island group's charted position is offset 100 m north of their GPS position?  It at least *looks* like the chartmaker is using a different reference system for assigning latitude and longitude.
