I can't believe it. All you CelNav aficionados making fun of geocentrists??
That's all we use in AstroNav, CelNav, CN -- geocentric coordinates!
Just try working up a sight in heliocentric coordinates. Then try making fun of us geocentrists.
Motion and position are relative -- ever hear of this guy called Al Einstein?
(Not to say everything is relative. Even relativity theory has its invariants, but position is not one of them)
I see that one of the topics at the Conference is the emptiness of outer space. We're currently spending millions of bucks on the Large Hadron Collider, looking for the Higgs boson field which might well occupy all of space.
Here's to plotting your next running fix in galactic coordinates,
JK
