Hello!
As I've posted a buying big on several astronomic/yachting/photo forums for an original Freiberger's telescope - with little hope of success, I'm looking now through a shop of astronomic instruments.
They have a rather long list of monoculars.
Which type of monocular should I prefer? I guess - the closer its' parameters to the Freiberger's (40mm, 4x) the better. Unfortunately - those people are mad about having greater magnification factor. The lowest value I see is 6x. Most of them have rather intricate shapes making them difficult to attach to the sextant properly.
Since I've saved a lot on the sextant itself - I'm sort of ready to pay for the scope.
Here is what I am considering:
- Veber BGD 8x42 with a compass, ~USD120
- Celestron Outland X 6x30, ~USD50/
- Celestron Oceana 8x42, ~USD90
- Veber Sport 12x32 BR, ~USD16
I'd be much grateful for comments and advises.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Tony
