Hello!
Just managed to catch a hole in the clouds to use Jupiter to null-out the IE and the "siding" on my sextant. Now with a 6x30 scope I can fully overlay a star on itself when the drum and scale are 0°0'. Checked it on Spica near-by. Used a bench-hook to mount the sextant to a tripod.
Also got a chance to evaluate for the back-slash - no detectable back-slash found, I guess - any residual error is due to my ageing vision.
The FREIBERGER looks good! :)
Cannot wait till the Moon is at a proper angle from anything.
Regards,
Tony
