I have questions about this. One: are there optics? If a 300-foot tall giant comes along and picks up these binoculars, will they work and make the giant happy? Or will the giant be disappointed, emit a great "GRrrrrr..." and throw them into the Pacific Ocean? Two: if no built-in optics, is there at least an observing platform on top so that we can sit up there and survey the beach (this is Venice Beach, Los Angeles) with binoculars... on top of binoculars? Three: should I build us a similar Sextant Building as the new global headquarters for NavList Operations?
I found this photo today while reading about the advertising agency Chiat-Day while following up on a New York Times article. The article noted that this weekend is the 40th anniversary (sort of... by the calendar, we're three weeks late) of the creation of a famous media product. What was happening forty years ago?
